Beagle Howling
The media could not be loaded.
We bought this for our smart, adorable, very energetic and sometimes stubborn grand-puppy, Diggy the Beagle. He responds very nicely to most commands with positive reinforcement (treats mostly) however he continued to howl at every noise, next-door neighbor and canoer and kayaker on our small lake. He finally quieted down some as many “noises” became more familiar, for instance, weekly garbage truck pickup and late-night fridge raids but he is “compelled” to howl repeatedly at “atrocities” sometimes only he can see or hear. We’re certainly fine with his sounding an alert when somebody comes on to the property. It just needs to stop after we reassure him everything is okay.We tried a buzzing bark collar with little success. Sadly, we even tried a “gentle” shock collar afterwards but stopped almost immediately. (Please no hate, we were desperate and still feel guilty about it.) The self-activating collars must have confused him and/or he was too young to respond as we hoped.We bought this product which is essentially an electronic dog whistle. We control when we use it. It worked within a couple of days. I’m sure it caused him some initial distress, certainly some irritation, though he just stops and looks at us, no running, hiding or whimpering thankfully. Most importantly, we only have to show it to Diggy now and give him a stern “NO” command. We infrequently actually press the button anymore.

Instructional video was very helpful and insightful. After learning how the device worked effectively, my dogs (Havanese and Shih Tzu) were very receptive to my command. They are barkers especially even if it’s someone they know comes in the house. One bark to alert me that someone is here is sufficient for me, and then I want the barking to cease. This device truly helped. It garnered their attention enough to listen to me. The flashlight is also a big help when walking at night before bedtime. I highly recommend!

I love this, the dog not so much but she does respond to it immediately. After one day she will stop barking when I call her name and say Crystal, no bark. She obeys me when trying to get aggressive towards strangers. I don’t mind a bark or two, but want her to obey “no bark” That is why a remote deterrent works best for me.

This works for herding/nipping at heels of visitors
I have a herding dog that is a family dog–no farm or herd. She is the sweetest but tries to nip home visitor’s on their shoes or ankles. I have used this one day which has distracted her (not punished) when I see that she is getting ready to nip. She immediately backs off. I am hoping it will train her not to go for people’s feet and legs. I will update if it works or fails. She does not whimper or act like it hurts. The ultra sonic on the lower setting seems very effective.

I use this every time I let our dogs out. The neighbors dogs are constantly barking and jumping at the fence. I beep this once as the dogs are let out and my dogs know to go the other direction and not participate in the barking.

BRILLIANT SOLUTION !
This is an amazing device I wish I had owned since my Mo was a pup !I have a large, muscular, headstrong 4 yo Labrador. When focused on chasing something, he refuses to listen. This can be troublesome in the middle of the night when he is barking incessantly at some “critter in the dark” worse yet when he started to burrow under a utility shed.I was seriously thinking about a shock collar, which I really didn’t want to resort to, then while looking at options on Amazon, I found the NPS Dog Bark Deterrent Devices w/ 3X Sonic emitters 50ft Range.After watching the video, I thought THIS is an option!After arriving, while it charged I watched the instructional video and proper use and began using a command, followed by the beep. After the third time of using the command “Stop!” and the beep with no response, I used “Stop!” and the sonic burst. IMMEDIATELY the dogs’ ears went back and he sat down.Since then I have used the sonic only once and that was to stop him from jumping up on people. (He weighs 105 lbs and stands nearly 5ft on his back feet!) I have referred this device to 3 other people who have purchased and been as amazed as I am. Use it correctly. Don’t over do it, and you will be THRILLED with the results.

Very effective training tool
I have a very energetic black lab with an extremely short attention span. I used this product as directed. Used the beep feature to get his attention, gave command. He ignored the command. I then gave a short burst of sound, gave command and it was like magic. I was thrilled. It’s nice to have something that helps him focus on me. Great product !!

Quick back story. I have 3 cats and two dogs. My 7 years old goldendoodle is pretty chilled and gets a long with the cats. We adopted our 2 year old Rottweiler mix a few months ago. Shes been going to training and it has helped in a lot of areas. Shes barked in the past but I feel is way more often now. Not sure if she’s just comfortable with us now and maybe more territorial but she barks at anyone that comes over or passes by. I work from home so it’s been very tough lately. I read the reviews and was very skeptical. I honestly thought maybe the movie would annoy her more and make her bark more. All I can say is WOW! Literally night and day within minutes. The beep didn’t work for her immediately, I had to use the ultrasonic mode but only pressed once. That got her attention immediately and she did not like it. She walked away and laid down. It’s helped with her interactions with the cats too. The beep does the trick now. After her realizing she didn’t like the noise she just sees it and already knows. It’s definitely a great training tool. I am beyond impressed by how fast it worked.Update: it worked for only a week. Hopefully it works for everyone else!

Effective training tool
Bought to keep dogs from fighting and to get their attention when they were outside running around. One dog is deaf so the lights were good for her. My other dog quickly learned she didn’t like the sound so she shaped up when she saw me grab this device.

Twizzel is a 4 yr old rescue and we knew she had some kind of baggage even though she was only 2 months old when we adopted her. Everything started off fine until the last year or so when she became food aggressive and very protective of me…much to my husband’s chagrin. Fast forward to purchasing NPS Dog Bark Deterrent. The video was very helpful and even though we’ve used it for only a few days, it truly works. Twizzel is very attentive when the device is in my hand. Most of the time all I need to do is make her aware of the device and I’ve only had to press the ultrasonic button once or twice while I’ve only had to use the deterrent button 2 times. I count that as a major success for our little headstrong, Parsons Russel terrier mix.

Had my doubts..
Really didn’t see how something like this would work, but it does! We have a 115 lb German Shepherd with a high prey drive. Walking in the back woods and 4 deer I didn’t see took off running. She took off, I called out, pushed the button and she stopped and came back to me. I was impressed!

Puppy learning quickly
Love the compactness and ease of operation. We have adopted a 10-month old Shih Tzu who had not been trained. Clicker sound didn’t work well on puppy. Had to switch to sound and it has made a dramatic change in behaviors. Only have to show him the NPS and then click..instant response! So far somgood. Highly recommend product.

Works for me intentions.
I only use the beep option to get my darks attention. After I have her attention then she listens to my requests to be quiet. See she big and very loud. Iallow her to bark for fun at neighbor dogs a few times. Neighbors do the same. Let dogs be dogs. And I allow her to bark to alert me of things. Pizza mans here. I tend to say. Thank I’m aware now be quiet. But she barks so loud I had to yell to get her attention. . This lets me beep. She stops and I communicate Once while walking a dog ran up on us. Little tippy. My girl woulda swallowed it like a tic tac. Instead of being mean . I stepped in front of my girl and used the top button . The little dog got quiet m backed up. Then I stood and waited to see the little dogs response. After a moment I only pointed it at the little dog and it backed up. Shortly after a woman showed up in a car looking for the little dog. I told her what I did. And she asked me the make and name of this devise. We spoke a good ten minutes about it. I told her I’m sorry if it scared your dog. But I couldn’t allow them to scrap with each other. She appreciated the non violent decision of a otherwise possible bad situation. She loves her dog. And thinks perhaps this may help her squash the aggression her little dog seems to have. I wish her luck. Oh btw. Once while camping. I think perhaps it spooked off a raccoon. Husband said it did. I wasn’t there to witness it.
